Hi there, I'm Aqib, and I'd love to share the story of UPVYBE and how we've reached where we are today. It all began when I was just 14 years old, creating videos for a local charity I believed in. Though my early videos weren't top-notch, they helped raise awareness for the charity's causes.
As I made more videos, my name started gaining recognition in Glasgow, and soon, makeup artists and smaller brands began reaching out to me for promotional videos. This boosted my confidence in my work. While the videos weren't highly planned back then, I managed to achieve impressive results with limited equipment costing only about £400. Alongside my studies, it became clear that the creative world was my true passion.
In 2016, I received a significant booking that became a milestone in my career—the opportunity to create the official video for world champion Anthony Joshua's event in Scotland. Working with such a renowned name was an incredible experience.
As time went on, more inquiries rolled in, expanding beyond video production to design and website work. Despite my limited knowledge in these areas, I was determined to learn and improve. I taught myself design and web development, challenging myself to create even the simplest landing pages. My dedication paid off, and I began offering logo design and website services, earning the satisfaction of many happy clients.
As we continued to scale, I realized that I needed a strong team to support me rather than doing everything myself. Finding the best professionals to work alongside me took time, but it was crucial for UPVYBE's growth. If I did everything myself, I knew the quality would eventually drop and be hard to maintain.
UPVYBE was conceived as a comprehensive creative agency that offered a range of services without compromising on quality. We didn't want to be a jack of all trades and master of none, so assembling a talented team was essential. While I'm still heavily involved in all UPVYBE projects, I try to focus on my natural passions. Video production, in particular, has a personal touch that I find difficult to delegate.
I'm open to exploring new possibilities. UPVYBE is still growing, and we're not yet where we envision ourselves to be. Nevertheless, we're enjoying the journey, helping brands, and leaving our mark.
